Key specs explained for you

Display Type: OLED

An OLED screen uses organic light-emitting diodes to produce its own light. This creates high contrast and sharp images without needing a separate backlight. You will see clear yardages in bright sunlight or low light conditions. The device includes adjustable brightness settings for comfort. This technology is standard in premium optics. It helps you read data quickly without straining your eyes during a round.

Magnification: 7x

This magnification level makes distant targets appear seven times closer than the naked eye view. You can identify flagsticks and hazards more easily from a distance. It balances clarity with a stable field of view. Higher magnification can sometimes make the image shakier, but 7x is a practical standard. This spec suits players who need precise targeting for approach shots on varied terrain.

Maximum Range: 1200 yd

The laser sensor can measure distances up to 1200 yards. This covers the vast majority of holes on standard golf courses. You can measure from the tee box to the far edge of the green or beyond. Most everyday shots fall well within this limit. This range ensures you have data for long par-fives or doglegs. It provides confidence for long approach shots without needing to walk closer.

Water Resistance: IP67

The IP67 rating means the device is dust-tight and can withstand immersion in water up to one meter for 30 minutes. You can use it in heavy rain or accidental drops in puddles without immediate damage. This protection is essential for outdoor sports equipment. It ensures the electronics remain safe from moisture and debris. You do not need to worry about sudden weather changes ruining your gear.

Pin Lock Feedback: Vibration

When the laser locks onto the flagstick, the device vibrates to alert you. This tactile feedback confirms the measurement is accurate and targeted at the pin, not the background. You do not need to stare constantly at the display to know it is locked. This feature speeds up your play and reduces errors. It is a practical aid for maintaining focus on your shot selection and execution.

The listing describes the Blue Tees Golf Captain Pro as a black unit weighing 8 ounces. This weight suggests a compact form factor that sits comfortably in your hand during long rounds. The model number RF-CP-BK-G indicates the specific black finish, which likely helps reduce glare on the course. You get a device that feels substantial without being heavy.
