Each alternative shares core GPS functionality. You can compare sizes, weights, and display types. The goal is to help you find a device that fits your carry style. Some options are lighter. How alternatives compare to the G7
Bushnell Phantom 3 Slope GPS
The Bushnell Phantom 3 Slope GPS replaces the G7’s handheld form with a larger, 7.2-inch device that includes a magnetic mount. It offers slope-adjusted distances and preloads 38,000 courses, whereas the G7 focuses on club advice and smart notifications for iPhone users. The Phantom is heavier at 2.75 ounces and features a touchscreen. You should choose this if you prefer a dedicated handheld with slope data and cart mounting over the G7’s smartphone integration and smaller 3.7-inch profile.
Blue Tees Player+ GPS Speaker
The Blue Tees Player+ GPS Speaker shifts from a handheld screen to a waterproof, 8-inch tall speaker with a touchscreen. It weighs 1.32 pounds, significantly more than the G7’s 3.36 ounces. This device provides hazard distances and acts as a power bank for all-day rounds. It lacks the G7’s club advice and email alerts. Pick this if you want a durable, waterproof unit with easy touchscreen navigation and audio features instead of a lightweight handheld with smartphone connectivity.
Mileseey GeneSonic Pro Golf GPS Speaker
The Mileseey GeneSonic Pro Golf GPS Speaker is a 3.39-inch wide device that weighs 3.31 pounds, far heavier than the G7. It features a touchscreen, 15-hour battery life, and 43,000 preloaded courses. It delivers integrated audio callouts and detachable precision. Unlike the G7, it does not offer club advice or smart notifications. This option suits golfers who want clear visual data and loud audio without relying on a smartphone, prioritizing course coverage and battery life over compact portability.
Bushnell Wingman View Golf Speaker
The Bushnell Wingman View Golf Speaker uses remote control and an LCD display, differing from the G7’s direct handheld interface. It weighs 1.44 pounds and includes a magnetic mount for cart bags. It provides hazard distances and GPS data. The G7 offers club advice and iPhone notifications, which this speaker lacks. Choose the Wingman View if you want remote-controlled LCD visibility and music streaming capabilities instead of the G7’s compact size, club recommendations, and direct smartphone alert integration.
Blue Tees Golf Player Pro GPS Speaker
The Blue Tees Golf Player Pro GPS Speaker is a large, 12-inch tall unit weighing significantly more than the G7. It features a magnetic mount, waterproof design, and hazard distances. It provides audible and visual yardage data. The G7 is smaller, lighter, and includes club advice and smart notifications. This speaker is ideal for golfers who prioritize audio clarity and screen visibility in a durable, waterproof package. It sacrifices the G7’s portability and smartphone integration for robust outdoor durability and dedicated course data display.
Bushnell iON Elite GPS Watch
The Bushnell iON Elite GPS Watch offers wrist-based shot tracking and slope data, a stark contrast to the G7’s handheld design. It weighs just 1 ounce and features a touchscreen with 38,000 preloaded courses. The G7 provides club advice and email alerts, which the watch does not. This watch suits golfers who want simple interface and reliable battery life on their wrist. It gives up the G7’s larger screen and smartphone connectivity for a minimal, wearable form factor focused on shot tracking and slope adjustments.
